DJ Omke aka Omer, started his DJ career in 1988th. DJ Omke today enjoys the status of the most experienced DJs in the area of Slavonia and Baranja (Croatia), and often we hear that it is called the ‘Godfather’ scene in Osijek (Croatia). His undeniable talent and ability has proven successful through 20 years of appearing on the events, often as a resident and promoter, and radio host (Dancefloor Friday, Clubhopping). Omke most residences and it is definitely in a cult club Oxygene in Osijek, where for several years, delighted his house sets. Also worth mentioning, and residences in clubs such as Vanilla (Vinkovci), Conty (D. Andrijevci), Stage (OS), Sound (OS) and Bastion (OS) also he played in all major Clubs in Croatia. In the last two years Omke completes his performances with visualization, so listening to Omke we can expect the compelling audio-visual combination. In the past 20 years list of DJ’s with whom he worked was really impressive, and we will mention just a few of them: Marshall Jefferson, Marco Bailey, Barbara Tucker, Marusha, David Morales, Jan Driver, Tom Novy, Pascal FEOS, Freemasons, Gramophonedzie, The Shapeshifters,Marko Nastic, Ivan Mastermix, SLY, Loki Massa, Petar Dundov, Mijk Van Dyk, Dr. Motte, Miss Sunshine and all major DJ’s from Croatia like Ivan Mastermix, Petar Dundov, except that he is the one of the leading House DJs in his country, Omke is an avid collector of records from the period of 70.80 and ’90s. What is interesting, he never kept a strict direction of house music in his sets, which generally lasts 4-6 hours, you can hear all the directions of House music,sometime you can here where he played some house and disco classics from early days. What should be pointed out in his career, the longest dj set that he played was 14 hours.
